Great marketing looks like great technology — you don’t notice it. It just works.
Hi, I’m Wendy Chan — an award-winning strategic marketer, founder of INBRND, and creator of Career as a Brand System™.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, I help complex ideas become clear, compelling, and human. Over the past decade, I’ve worked across hardware, mobility, consumer tech, health tech, and emerging technology — building campaigns, go-to-market narratives, content systems, and brand programs that help people understand not just what a product does, but why it matters.
At the center of my work is a belief that language is infrastructure. It shapes how companies enter markets, how technologies are understood, how careers move, and how identity becomes visible.
Today, I’m building INBRND as a platform for narrative, positioning, and signal-building.
Alongside this work, I’m writing a memoir about work, love, identity, ambition, and language. Select chapters may be adapted into standalone essays for literary and cultural publications.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me playing the violin, hiking, reading, exploring design, or watching stand-up comedy.
